Has it ever occurred to you why the majority who like this fetish are men?
It's hard for me to find a woman who likes this.
I once read that it had to do with the fact that in childhood, the baby had not received enough nutrients through breastfeeding.

I’m not in any way qualified to make an educated guess here, but if I had to make a guess I’d say it’s probably just some leftovers from our primal ancestors. We judge potential sexual partners feet as part of our natural sexual selection, but because we all wear shoes now our brain gets a little confused, so as our preferences develop during childhood, the shoes themselves become a part of our sexual preference.
As for why this is a mens only thing, your guess is as good as mine. Boys do develop their sexuality a little earlier than girls, so maybe something happens there?

I asked my partner whether she felt concerned at giving me sneaker jobs and she said she was not as she thought it was quite harmless. Have to agree with other replies klausdaniel, but also to ask what fetish you refer to.
The board is shoesession, so a liking for shoes, but for some the desire is sexual contact with the feet which go in them.
Some love clean, some love dirty - feet and shoes, some like to cum in, some over, some like to wear, to eat from, to drink from, to pee in, to insert in different orifices - theirs and partners. As we are all under the control, at the mercy of hormones, could it be that pheromones released within sweat collects in shoes, and causes sexual interest in them?
If we consider many women have a love for shoes which borders upon fetish, and then consider that we are all female at some point of development, then perhaps a love for shoes is already inherent in both sexes.

This explanation sounds a bit weird to me! Personally, my fetish comes from a pair of slippers I had when I was between 6 and 7 years old. My mother had bought them for the gym, at school. I remember them perfectly! They look like ballet slippers. The upper part was made of very thin and very soft baby blue leather, and the soles were made of the same leather. Not sure about how anyone else developed this fetish but at least where I’m from, I found that lots of women who wear attractive tight clothing, like yoga pants, tights, etc., also wear sneakers and it’s just apart of the whole outfit that makes them even more attractive.

I was simply referring to the fetish of being interested in using them for sexual purposes. In that case, I have not met any woman who has been interested in this since childhood, as we men have. And regarding having enjoyed breastfeeding in childhood was something I read, but it doesn't mean I agree with that. It just seems curious to me that we are 99% of men interested in this fetish whatever its connotation.

Pretty sure it has to do with the fact that men develop sexual "urges" much earlier on in life than women, which manifest into object-based fetishes if a physical connection can't be met (much easier to snag a pair of sneakers from your middle school crush than get a footjob from them). I firmly believe that foot fetishes stem from how our brains are wired, and our preference for sneakers, heels, boots or flats is just that--preference. I know that I used to exclusively only go for sneakers or cloth flats/slip-ons, but also enjoy heels and boots in my late 20s (particularly from authoritative women). The fact that I'm on the spectrum I'm sure plays a part as well as it'a kind of a fixation for me.
