BEWARE OF EBAY SCAM

Hi fellow shoe lovers thought I give you all a heads up about a scam on Ebay. the ID is veronicasfetishfeet. It's looks like a Russian scam. They posted 2 different pairs of heels. I tried to bid on each and was out bidded on both. So I let it go and bought some other shoes and boots from Ebay that were legit. Well i woke up this morning and found at the last minute before the auctions ended the high bidder retracted there bids. I woke up and there was a $170 invoice waiting for me. Hmmmmm kind odd this would happen to both. Well I sent a complaint to Ebay and they canceled both. Thank god. The user is now sending me a Ebay types of message saying to follow a link were there's a new auction. Well that auction looks like a ebay page if you follow the link, but if you go through Ebay it does not exist.

Boy I have been on Ebay for years and the scams are getting newer and more creative, Guys beware and research and don't bid until you're sure. The user looked legit with a user picture and there was a link showing the shoes. Anyway I did get a pair of boots from a model on Ebay and a pair of heels from a girl that works for internal banking. Both have supplied me with pics so I'm happy with those.

Thanks for the update. I've been buying heels and other things on Ebay for quite some time and rarely have any problems. But as with any website that attracts buyers, there's bound to be some scummy rip-off artists that join the fray. One time I did win a pair of some sexy metal heel stilettos but never received them. I did email the woman selling them and she gave me some sad story why she hadn't sent them yet. I gave her about 3 months which is the max time that you can leave feedback to either send me a refund or mail me the heels. The auction was only for $5.99 so I didn't make much fuss of it to Ebay but I did leave glaring negative feedback.

Sometimes a person with two Ebay accounts can make a bid on one account to an auction of their second account just to jack up the price. There's not too much you can do about that or at least that I am aware of. I don't think you have to purchase the item if you were not the original winner of the auction, though. The only thing I can suggest is not only look at the feedback rating, but feedback history of the seller's user account. That way you get a feel if the seller is legit or not.

One other Ebay related scam to lookout for is that comes in the form of Phishing. Someone will send you an email with a phony reason that they need your Ebay user ID and password. DO NOT SUBMIT THIS INFORMATION. I haven't seen this lately but this has been going on for a while. This applies to other websites where you use a user ID and password as well like if you have a Yahoo.com account.
