But more I saw the pink and white 608's and finally caved on Vinted and bought a pair to wear and play with

I was never a fan of New Balance either but I got to know this cute blonde that wore them to destruction (barefoot in the summer and with black pantyhosee in the winter) so I think that had something to do with my change of mind
Yeah! It happened to me, too.
20 years ago with the Nike Shox that after the first times then had become fantastic.
In more recent times with the Nike AF: all mid and high models have become awesome. Instead the low ones all white/black have become only ok, I like them but I’m not very enthusiastic.
Also with the Fila disruptor that now always catch my attention.
