wet/messy- wearing vs non worn

i was wondering peoples views on the subject of wet/messy/muddy etc shoes and boots either being worn or not being worn.
do you prefer to see someone wearing the boots/shoes getting them sploshed or just to see the shoes on their own with no wearing involved?

Personally I like seeing them worn initially before being on their own - I like the progression of abuse. And finish them off in a stream or similar!! I've done that with shoes and have the pics on Flickr if you're interested:

For me it is only interesting if they are worn. Then it drives me crazy.
