I think that was the reason why they got "lost" there Looks like that was just a sign of wearing them down.
Those soft "Ultra" soles, just as on Nike Thea/Roshe, wear down very fast (although I must admit that they're comfy - I wouldn't pay as much as they cost in the shops! They're just not worth that much...).

So, now, for something completely different.
I bought a pair of Asics Aaron for me, a few years ago. I wanted some blue canvas sneakers, and they were fairly cheap... OK, now I know why - they don't last very long

As time went by, I created some kind of clogs from them. Used them at home. And finally, they're done (and I now use Nike Thea at home - much more comfortable, and a bit sexier too ).
So here's what happened, in a few pictures:
