Gf's champion sneakers.

Post by Kimble840 »

In my post about her canvas tennies I talked about this shoes being the ones she primarily wore before she got those. I had a few ask me about them so figured I'd start a topic about them and see what kind of interests I get if any. I admit they weren't really my taste in style when she first got them in March 2015 but as they were worn more and more they started to attract my attention so we'll see if anyone here is interested.

July 2015. Still wearing them quite a bit. Back and fourth between these and her lace flats. Still wears socks with them but there is a catch. She doesn't often wash her socks. She has countless pairs of them and leaves them scattered around the house so when she needs a pair she just goes looking for the nearest pile. For some reason she doesn't like washing socks with her shirts and pants etc so to wash her socks, she'd have to go around gathering them all up which she doesn't care enough to do. So her socks are always dirty. When a pair gets too crusty or gets holes she just throws them away and buys new ones from time to time. So these shoes are 90 percent of the time worn with dirty socks.

End of July 2015. Still wears them pretty regularly. Mixes it up a little bit here and there. Still wears socks with them but unless she pulls out a clean new pair to wear, they are worn with dirty and sometimes truly nasty socks. She once pulled her stiff, stained, crusty gym socks out of her gym bag and wore these shoes with then. Then put on her gym shoes that evening and went to the gym... then was going out to dinner with her gym buddy so she changed out of her gym clothes and back into these sneakers again. I wasn't home that day, she told me about it but damn I bet they were rank

I had mentioned I had a pair of these from an ex gf that she left here after a river walk. I told her to bring a pair of sneakers she didn't care about, and wore them. We ate first and would look at them from time to time, knowing what they had in store. On the river walk, we sat down on a tree branch, she kept her shoes in the water, laces swaying in the current. Told her I would wash them, which I did, but they never made it back. She kept them here when she helped me paint, deliberately dripping paint on them. They were an 8.5 wide, so they fit me and I wore them for painting, hit them with an orbital sander, and cummed on the tops of them. I bought her a pair of the Chrissy's to replace them.

Usually shoes that are worn with socks live pretty happy lives. I'm amazed by how damaging dirty socks can be. They do get worn with clean socks from time to time but more often then not the socks are dirty.

Early October 2015. It just keeps getting worse for these shoes. Especially for the left one. She recently injured her left foot. She had to wear a brace on it so for the first time in its life, it knows bare feet. She still wears a sock with the right one though. Only the left one is worn barefoot.

I know, right. I've been asking her if she'd buy a pair reebok princess cus socks or no socks, she'd tear those babies up. But she said she doesn't like the style. Says they're "grandma shoes"
