That Vans Old Skools sink if you float them on water, but it takes a long time to go fully under :)

I also learned that machine washing chucks 70s is not a good idea.

With the chucks? The glue around the sidewalls and under the toecap gave way. There were two pairs of classic chucks in the same load and they were fine. To be fair, I have washed other pairs of classic chucks multiple times and I have had the glue give on 2 pairs, so it’s not strictly limited to 70s. 90% of the time classics are fine, so I think that sometimes it’s just a bad batch. Maybe I was just unlucky that the first pair of 70s I tried it with failed.

Machine washing any Sneaker is a bad idea as it destroys them.

Nah chucks are usually fine. Leather sneakers I’d agree with. It’s just the occasional pair of chucks I have had that have had issues.
