don't really fancy tresspassing in farmers fields and being shot at if not arrested and embarassd.

Did you not read the above post? 1: They are few and far between round here
2: I have allready been shot at once when I was actually on a public footpath that ran thru a farmers field and chased off by another one once again when I was on a public footpath that ran thru farmers land!

No, really am unsure what you can do judging by the hassle your having and not being from there.
