Around a decade ago in the UK, most knee high/over knee boots were from brands like Faith, Dune, River Island, Topshop etc, and their designs were often leather, pointed or rounded toe, with buttons, side zips, buckles etc (more things to jizz on
Around 4/5 years ago suede was the fashion, there were loads of OTK suede boots but less leather styles being made.
Nowadays designs have almost went back to what they were in the 60s and seventies, knee high, square toe, block heel, synthetic look, also much plainer to look at, with less buttons/buckles etc. Zara and Public Desire seem very strong on this type of look.
I've always been a big fan of a square toe, but part of me would like to see some more 'extras' like fake zips, buckles etc on todays boots
