When i go on a buy/sell webpage and see a purse i am interested in, sometimes i just say "beautiful bag!" Other times, like yesterday, i say "I want your purse!" I like the latter over the former, because it's telling the woman, "I am being straightforward in saying that this purse you are selling is very much desired by me!" i don't tell her i wanna send gobs of my semen into it, but she still will remember my approach!

i just tell them if they ask its a gift or something i don't go into much detail or maybe i collect them but other than that no more info hard to know how open minded some people are

True! The most i say is "i want your purse". The seller never asks me what i want the purse for. There is no awkward convo between the woman and myself. i say woman because 99% of the time, it's a woman selling purses on ebay, etsy, poshmark, mercari, etc. Once in a while, a guy will be selling a purse. I will use the same approach.
