The Case of the Stiletto Heel
In Mobile, Alabama the city fathers passed an ordinance making it "unlawful to wear women's pumps with sharp, high heels."
A woman sauntering down a Mobile street caught her high heel in a sidewalk grating. She fell and injured herself. In today's litigious society, she brought suit against the city for negligence. As a result of this isolated incident, a new law makes all women wearing high heels into potential criminals.
sorry i know its off topic but

sure, what comes next? patent leather becomes forbidden, because its reflections distract the car drivers? metal heels are forbidden, because the clicking sound is a disturbance of peace? that's so stupid...
the only good thing i can see come out if this is that police officers are allowed to carry saws with them, so they can saw off the high heels of every woman in the street wearing sexy high heeled shoes

i imagine it something like this:
officer:
sorry miss, you know the rules, please take off these dangerous shoes, i have to adjust them...
lady:
please, no! they're brand new italian heels!
officer:
there you go... now you have a brand new pair of flats. Of course, I'll have to keep the heels as a piece of evidence...
lady: (sobs and walks hastily off to the next shoe store in her new flats)
for some of us, that would be a very good reason to join the police

Guys
Heels do damage floors and do get caught in any thing they can find. The law was put on the books to cover the cities ass. Get mad a the mouth piece that made money sueing the city in the first place.
No bones about it, I do not like hi heels or pointy toe. They are going to have a real problem infoucing that law. But it is on the books and needs to be remove.
Give you folks living in the aera something to do. Change to law.
