Shoesession

Had no idea when she bought them that they would survive this long. She has admitted to me that she has thought about sacrificing them a handful of times before but decided not to because she knows I really like them. She says that if it wasn't for me, they would have been worn outside more, taking out the trash, light gardening, fire pits, etc. She also has warned me not to expect this kind of consideration in the future. She's told me that there WILL be slippers that sacrificed or killed. They will suddenly just die and disappear one day without warning and it wont matter how much I care about them. She doesn't mind my whole shoe obsession. It doesn't bother her but she reminds me that they are her shoes first and my obsession second.

The suffering continues. The patio was wet and she wore them will cooking dinner on the grill. They got soaked. I asked her why she chooses to keep wearing them inspite of them being so unbelievably trashed. She agrees that they're in really bad shape and could be in the trash any day but she says she really doesn't pay attention. "They're still wearable and they're comfortable so I just keep putting them on".

Wonder how long a good $20 pair of dearfoams would last with her?

Believe it or not, they ARE still around. Took these pics about a week ago. They're arely hanging on by a thread. She's been working alot so hasn't had time for chores around the house. Wears them mainly in the evenings relaxing after work. She's been keeping them by the back door now. Wears them to check the mail, take out the trash, water plants on the porch, etc. Says she doesnt really pay any attention to how bad they're getting. They still stay on her feet so she just keeps wearing them. Says she bought a new pair of slippers to replace them when they die.

Wow they must stink

They do stink but not as bad as they used to. There was a time when the stench was very potent but I think there is just not enough materials left to hold a really strong stench. I kinda feel bad for them at this point. I'm sure if they could talk, they'd be begging for death at this point.
