In all seriousness... it all boils down to taste.. and it takes longer to go into a thread about stuff you don't like and leave a comment that no one has any interest in reading, than it does just skipping the thread altogether and getting on with your life.

Re: not getting the Hoka craze
Vans and converse to me have always been a major turn off, it’s all personal opinions. But for me the fact that men wear the same shoes as women it’s just totally a turn off it’s like the girls are wearing men’s shoes. Same thing with the explosion of hot women wearing ugly ass Nike air forces and such. Women now go to the gym in chunky, ugly Nikes and vans instead of the athletic looking sexy Nikes and other brands. This Nike air forces trend I can’t wait for it to end lol. That’s just my personal opinion everyone’s allowed to have their favorites

I love vans. Especially the velcro ones. AF1s are hideous. Too many people wear them. Hokas are too chunky.
Skechers D'Lites, Vans, Skaters types... those I like. Among others.

No girls buy AF1s anymore, and definitely don't wear them as much, especially not in mainstream. They all bought their pairs from 2019-2021 and haven't bought any since. The only ones you see are beat to hell, which some people like, but I do not as much. Better than nothing for me, but all I see now are Jordans, Blazers, Adidas (not the good ones, like Superstars), or those basic Converses.battlebeast wrote: Sun Jul 02, 2023 7:18 am I love vans. So I couldn't disagree with you more. Girls never, ever used to wear these types of sneakers at all, and now they finally are. They're already fading out, especially the whites, and girls are headed back to the boring Vans and Converses that they've always worn and always will. All porn and media features girls wearing those shoes. So I don't get why Converse and Vans lovers feel the need to complain. You've gotten, and will continue to get, the lions' share of all media. So thanks for the complaint, but those of us who enjoy these things will take what we can get.

Re: not getting the Hoka craze
For me, it’s all about preferences.
I prefer a woman in nice athletic sneakers. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, ASICS, and yes, Hoka. That sort of thing. I prefer something with an aggressive, treaded sole. Some of the Hoka’s are awesome, as can be seen by the picture posted by Candide.
Next it’s the more fashion type. Stuff like Converse, Vans and Nike AF’s. I’d say out of all those I prefer Converse the most. Especially the Hike type. Lace up Vans I can enjoy, but not so much the slip on type. Nike AF’s, Jordan’s and that sort of basketball sneaker I tend to find a bit boring, but better than nothing.
Then at the bottom of the pile are deck shoe type things. Stuff like Toms and things like that. Totally not interested at all. Very much a turn off.
One depressing trend that I have noticed over the last few months is the increase in younger women wearing Crocs. They are the absolute worst. There’s nothing more depressing than seeing an attractive woman, wearing nice clothing, hoping for some nice sneakers and then seeing that she’s wearing Crocs. It’s even worse than finding out she’s wearing Flipflops. Which itself is bad enough. The whole Crocs or Flipflops with socks trend is just nasty. Hopefully it’s just a passing fad and will go the way of the dodo.
