How to tell a girl?
I've had a shoe fetish for as long as I can remember. When I was younger it was mostly sneakers, but as I grew older some boots and flats would also elicit a response. I've told basically nobody all my life because I'm certain they'll be disgusted and it'll be humiliating. Recently I thought why not I might as well explore whether there's any chance I'm wrong, so I'm asking the community here: what experiences do you all have with telling a girl about the fetish and the kinds of reactions you get?
If it matters, I mostly just like to smell sneakers. Fucking/licking/etc doesn't interest me.

It's never been an issue. Every serious relationship knew about my shoe and foot fetish. At first, I feared their reaction, but found they were very receptive and to some degree, enjoyed the fetish with me. My ex wife was my first serious relationship... although our marriage failed, the fetish aspect was never an issue. A few years later, I have remarried and the shoe fetish is part of a healthy sex life. I don't suggest you drop the bomb during the family gathering dinner... but during a private intimate time, after doing some nice things for your partner (aka... finding out a few of her kinks and performing them for her) tell her about your fetish. It will be fine.

I would also suggest to talk about it. It can make your sex live much richer. And now my GF knows exactly, why I want to buy her new sneaks.

Re: How to tell a girl?
I second badkarmajd, it's never been an issue. I'm married now and my wife knows it. I actually told her the first week we started dating. She wasn't shocked at all and always entertained my fetish. I had a few girls I dated that i told and i never had a negative reaction.
My only advice is don't press it upon them, but be respectful and usually they'll entertain it. Just remember that they might not want to do your thing every time a sexual encounter occurs. Don't make your sex life about the fetish, but include the fetish in your sex life.

Badkarma has good advice. That's exactly how I told a gf when I was younger. Same way for current wife of 7 yrs. But you know what kind significant other you have. If she or he can't really open up to you about her fetish because im 100% gonna guaranty she's has one. Then don't. You dont have the kind of relationship you're looking for. Could be humiliating if she or he is an asshole.

Re: How to tell a girl?
In my case it just happened - she had some new shoes which turned me on - I could not hide my feelings. Later I purchased sneakers which turned out to be too small and I gave them to her and she liked them. We were fooling around one day when she was wearing them - she sitting in a chair and I on the floor between her feet and she started digging the heels in between my legs (we were both fired up). I could not take it any longer, I got up took my trousers off to her surprise, lay down and she gave me a sneaker job with them - they had soft ribbed rubber soles which felt exquisite on my tip.
