As an update, the woman I have been working with is willing to resume wearing a pair of black ballet flats for me for a few days before selling to me. This pair she was wearing for a full year every day until about May. She claims she stopped wearing them because her feet smelled bad. Then again she claimed the pair she sold me had a lot of scent and it had none. We'll see I guess.
I knew I could not be the only one this was happening to !
I too have tried most of these methods, including charity/thrift stores and every ebay search you cold imagine.
I've spent a ton of money and out of dozens of all kind of shoes perhaps a few have retained any scents. Heating them slightly does help some.
True, dirty and/ or with toe prints are easy to find, but even those advertised as fragrant just aren't. While it's fun corresponding with the occasional women who have an awareness of our desires I remain frustrated.

Amen, thnak you for sharing my pain, some of the replies here made me feel like I was missing something obvious. Your experiences you describe above are exaclty what I have experienced. True, a couple of women have supplied very smelly socks/hose (typically the BEST have been for free even), but shoes and flats especially have been a big problem. Considering how many women complain about smelly flats I'm shocked it's hard to find. And to reiterate, I've tried all the methods described here and NONE really work well.
As for heating the shoes, what's your favorite technique? I've thought about that, even wetting them a bit, but really doesn't seem to do much at all.
For me, getting leather shoes that show a LOT of wear is key. Those manmade materials from shoes from Target ot Walmart just don't do it for long term stink. I go for mocs or Sperrys and try to find them thru Ebay or Ebanned in my size (I'm fortunate that I can fit into a Womens 9 / 9.5). Heating with a hair dryer tends to "wake up" the stink. Id like to post that I have a couple pairs of ballet flats you can definity smell a few days after I have worn them with a cloth Inside. Of course these are ones I have worn so much that my big toe pokes through the bottom but still, id say the cloth inside does it best.

Yes I tried that several times, never arrive with scent. I NEVER had luck with eBay. Even tried Fetlife and no luck either. I have a local woman whom is searching her closet for smelly flats, we'll see if she does better than the first pair she got for me.
Fetlife has a few groups especially for this. Can't imagine you won't be able to find anything there. Had two great pairs one through a dutch site so it is possible.

As a webcam model I can say I bet it is a lot of fun for her as well (and not just because of the money) I wish I had more fun visitors like this on my channel lol..

The best flats to buy are the ones with soft suede like material on the inside. Two brands that are the best are blowfish flats most the time have a nice soft and memory foam type inside that retains smell very well. And dr scholls flats with the memory foam type inside . They smell Amazinf
