Fitness guru Denise Austin was one of the first spokespersons for the Reebok Freestyle, which helped elevate the shoes in the fitness circles. There were no other shoes designed for women for aerobics or fitness workouts at this time. Here is a promo shoot in the mid-1980s for NBC's Today Show. She would continue to wear Freestyles in her workout videos and fitness shows.
