looking for some advice.
Hello everyone I recently bought another pair of boots to add to my collection and had the wife try them on. They basically fit except that the toe box was a bit narrow for her feet to the point where she said it hurt quite a bit so she didn't have them on for long. I really like the boots and was hoping to get her into them again but I don't think she will if they were causing her that much discomfort. I was wondering if any of you knew of a way to widen the toe box that way they don't hurt her as much or at all so she will wear them. Thank you in advance

You can buy a shoe stretcher from Walmart or target…I need to use them from time to time with my shoes or boots

Few ideas bootlover1990
As Lynn 240 said, there are mechanical stretchers, use with some chemical easing spray at the same time.
Warming up and wearing with a couple of pairs of socks for short periods and repeated until improved, has been suggested before, also shoe repairers might be able to advise, but most important not to keep feet in too tight shoes, bunions and other foot problems are painful and not pretty.
The ideal footwear shape is apparently more like something which Daisy (or Donald) duck could wear.
Good luck

I remember those "duck footed" boots with the chisel heels. They were all you could get in the late 1990s. I think they came from a period of temporary insanity and have happily been largely forgotten. You hardly see them on auction sites. I also didn't like the clunky boots from the mid 1970s worn by university students, some of them men. There have been drought periods when I didn't like anything I saw on the street.

Well pressovannye, not seen those shoes you refer, but they sound undesirable, and I can only find online references to chisel toes not heels, but I was advising that for foot health, footwear should apparently be more the shape of ducks feet with room to move the toes and not fashion shoe designs that most here desire.
. Of course, whatever the shoe, there would be some members who would ...........
you know who you are..........
.
While squeezing feet and toes into constricting sexy footwear can feel amazing and make even larger feet look incredible, it can cause long term problems, the most serious of which is of course, being unable to fit into any of those in your current collection due to deformity, and difficulty in adding further pairs you desire without undergoing serious medical intervention.
.
hmm.... Anck Su Namun

Re: looking for some advice.
I remember even Daisy's nieces wore high heels which was very strange since they were the same age as Donald's nephews.
The "chisel" heel was talked about usually disparagingly on a shoe fetish site in the last years of the 20th century. I don't remember it's name but there was this character who had a Julie (from Gimme A Break) fixation and used to stalk her online. The chisel heel looks like a stiletto in profile but is quite broad viewed from the back. The "duck footed" appearance of the front of the boot was exactly that. It was the worst abomination since the Earth Shoe. I think boot fetishists the world over have been doing their best to forget.
