Curious...

Post by sw18 »

I’m 44 and have recently been diagnosed as being a high functioning autistic. I have struggled with social situations and making friends my entire life and this diagnosis has explained so much and allowed me to understand my personality. Just curious, but is anyone else here on the autism spectrum?

Yeah, although I find it very difficult to engage in small talk when I’m face to face with someone. I have learned how to function in society and interact with people for short periods of time. However, I usually have to spend time alone and recharge after most social situations. My wife is slightly autistic as well.

My psychologist said that fetishism is very common among people who are autistic.
