Possible shoe-b-q party

Hopefully if everything falls into place this weekend, the ladies and I will be having another shoe roast, I think we will be okay, since it has been raining here quite a bit. They have a tendency to alert us about a burn ban, but never tell us when it has been lifted, so we are going to take our chances. Here is hoping we can do it.

Oh yeah, there will be pictures of the victims up here soon, hopefully tomorrow.

The ladies are still working on getting their daughters to part with their DC Skate shoes and Vans. Seems that they had their kids buy the shoes for themselves, which adds a bit of a wrinkle to the mix, and the one who has the Vans takes great care of them, her Mom says. So we are still hoping.

Thanks, we are going to try and have it even though there has been no word of the ban being lifted, but they often don't say anything to that effect.

In addition to the 3 pairs we had set aside before this burn ban, the ladies and I have also picked out these for our shoe roast this weekend. Depending on how the ladies and I feel during our little gathering( we may not want to wait), if we we wait the entire time it takes for a pair to burn to ashes, we might not get to all of them. Some of them get excited and throw on a pair before the last pair are totally gone. We will see how it goes.

please be paitent cause there is nothing better than watching shoes burn by them selfs so u can watch all the detail to hard when there are all burning please take lots of photos of the shox and the asics burning cause they arew hot as

Wow, did the ladies and I have a lot of fun last night. It was a bit gusty at times, which unfortunately caused the shoes to burn FASTER, but I did get quite a few good shots as the roast went along. We only burned 10 pairs of the 12 we selected, as I still have yet to abuse the blue/pink nikes, and one of the ladies said she wanted to take the other pair back home and do her own trashing, and will bring them back for the next roast. So without further gabbing from me, I present some pictures.

And I torched my Bamboo espadrilles, I only had these for a WEEK, and I was in the shower using them to abuse another pair of shoes, and the straps broke on them. I was amazed they broke so soon, but enjoyed the heck out of seeing them burn.
