I recently found a pair of Chucks. I don't know what era they are from because I haven't seen a sole pattern like these have before. 1980s???

Knowing what I do know about chucks, these look like they may be more like they could be 1980s era chucks. The Toecap and insole seem to be about right. The thing that keeps throwing me off is the sole. The photo gallery on Chucks Connection also doesn't ahve that specific pattern, thoguh it could be possible that in the 1980s/early 1990s they played with this style.

Cheap chinese copy???

I wore a black pair that, as far as I can remember, was identical to this when I was on the basketball team in highschool - I actually remember the sole pattern well cuz I was always having to wipe the static dust off of them during practice so I wouldn't slip. All the other girls had brand new Fila's or Air Jordan's with the "new" pumps on the tongue. But I was so proud of those retro chucks.

I had them for a good 15 or 20 years before I finally tossed them. The odor they had accumulated was INTENSE, and both of them had holes wearing through the fabric just above the soles at both toe and heel by then.. If I'd only known I'd ended up on this forum I would have held onto them a few more years
