Amazing Hunter....bloody fantastic........what a freakin thread, tell me, do you artificially age the 'replacements' a little bit??
Funnily enough Ive got a similar experiment going, boots not so much to everyones taste here but been swapping them between my girl and a friend.....drowning them in-between times.
Neither has noticed thus far, but they sort of have equal wear.

Here are her shoes and the replacement ones on the right hand side. A few differences between the two are:
- Price tag and other labels visible on the sole of her shoes
- Toe prints obviously in her shoes
- White little loop thing inside the replacement shoes, hers are black

They still have her scent a bit but it seems like the smell of her 1st pair of shoes was due to the trainers she was wearing for commuting to work. So nothing overwhelming. Just a slight scent. She walks a lot in the office and I am also surprised how quickly they get worn out. 4 pairs in 1 year!
The red ones don't show the same level of wear as she wears them sometimes in the office. The black ones are worn pretty much every day.
