I was never into skate shoes but I think I like shox and loose laced shoes for the same reason you guys like these

I think there's a possibility of skate shoe revival later this year.
The chunky sneaker was a recent trend for women (AF1, Huarache). Currently there's "dad shoe" hype amongst sneakerheads (Yeezy, Balenciaga, Air Monarch), also chunky. The Air M2K Tekno just dropped, a Monarch inspired shoe, that's officially a women's model. And last week I spotted 2 girls in Fila Disruptor! Also chunky.
Skateboarding isn't exactly booming right now, and skateboarding has moved away from big shoes... But a comeback for old school chunky skate shoes could fit the timeline. Fingers crossed!
